Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Administrator Garry Payne has resigned.
Mr Payne, who took up the role just over two years ago, cited personal reasons for the decision.
In accepting the resignation, Local Government Minister Don Page acknowledged Mr Payne’s efforts.
He’s the second administrator appointed since the former council was sacked in 2008 over its handling of the controversial Glasshouse cultural centre development.
Mt Payne will leave the council on Friday-week.
