The Minister for Hospitality and Racing, George Souris has moved to close a loophole being used by a new Newcastle entertainment venue to operate, despite being knocked back for a liquor licence.
The Kensington night club had twice been refused a licence but traded last weekend using a caterers licence.
New regulation has been announced today preventing a caterer from serving alcohol in a premises that has been refused a licence in the past two years.
