HOLIDAY TRAFFIC DELAYS

Motorists using the Pacific Highway have been urged to exercise greater vigilance as large numbers
of holiday-makers begin to return home.
Wet weather, combined with heavy traffic has made for dangerous conditions at a number of highway black spots.
Police have also reminded motorists that double demerit points apply until midnight.
While traffic has been mostly free flowing there were bottlenecks reported at Macksville, Kempsey and Bulahdelah earlier today.
Over the past five days police have conducted more than 40,000 breath tests and issued 800 speeding tickets.
