Around 100 people have taken part in the first Hunter Walk For Freedom.
The event at Speers Point was organised by a group of local women who wanted to raise awareness about human trafficking, particularly in the sex industry.
$10,000 raised from the walk will go to the A-21 campaign, which supports victims of slavery.
