Australian representative Katie Ebzery will make her return to the Hunters on Saturday, when the Newcastle women host North Sydney in round two of the Waratah Basketball League.
The game will also mark the debut of American import, Shannon Novosel, who arrived in town on Friday.
“So far so good, I’ve got one practice under my belt and a scrimmage. I’m dying to get on the court.”
The 29-year-old from Kentucky will provide some much-needed height for the Hunters.
“I have a feeling I’ll be mostly centre. I love to rebound and be a presence under the basket. But I love to shoot the 3 so hopefully I’ll get a little bit of forward experience as well.”
