LIBERTY SWING FOR URALLA

Uralla’s Alma Park will soon boast a liberty swing thanks to $25,000 in funding from the State Government.

A petition for the swing gained 150 signatures, giving the project the push it needed.

The park is a popular destination for the local community and those travelling along the New England Highway.

The swing is designed to be wheel-chair friendly and makes parks accessible for children with a disability.

Minister for Disability Services John Ajaka says “It shows exactly what inclusion with people with disability is all about. Being able to play in a park in your local community, it’s just so important for children with disability.”

Uralla Council will put forward nearly $15,000 to go towards the swing.
