A man who entered a Suffolk Park home and punched a man inside has been been given a six month jail sentence.
27-year-old Shane Millwood pleaded guilty today to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and entering a building with intent, over the incident which occurred last year.
The court heard that after receiving an abusive text message, he went to a former friend’s home, barged in and started a fight.
The victim was punched and suffered lacerations to his face.
Millwood could face more jail time next week – when he’s sentenced over his involvement in a fatal car crash in Byron Bay.
