Meantime Lennox Head surfer Owen Wright is also through to round three of the Billabong Pro after coming from behind to defeat Hawaii’s Fredrick Patacchia in Jeffreys Bay.
The Hawaiian dominated most of the heat and looked to take victory until Wright pulled this beauty just 30 seconds from the siren.
