In the NBN State League the Magic killed off Hamilton’s final’s hopes, Weston and Edgeworth also won, while South Cardiff had more reasons to celebrate.
Following its win in the knockout cup, the Gunners made a bright start, Phil Bures with a perfect header.
The home side rarely threatened, with genuine chances few and far between.
South Cardiff could’ve doubled its lead before the break, but Brad Swancott kept Lake Macquarie in it.
