DROWNED NEW ZEALAND MAN IDENTIFIED

The man who tragically drowned while surfing at Angourie on the New South Wales north coast yesterday afternoon,
has been identified as prominent New Zealand sports commentator, Graeme Moody.

The 60-year-old died after his leg rope became snared on rocks shortly before 1pm.

Mr Moody was a regular visitor to the popular surfing break, and was known for his love of sport, particularly rugby.

Set to cover the upcoming World Cup, he worked for national New Zealand radio station, Newstalk ZB, for 35 years.
