Cabarita Beach rower Rick Kranen has won Port Macquarie’s Three Rivers Mini-Marathon in a time of one hour and 47, just seconds ahead of Shoalhaven duo Chris Turner and Dean Watts.
All-manner of paddle craft, including sculls, kayaks, outriggers and dragon boats, took to the water for the annual race along the Wilson, Maria and Hastings Rivers.
A record number of competitors took part in the gruelling 26-kilometre event, which is a major fundraiser for the Port Macquarie Rowing Club.
