NORTHSTARS VISIT SICK KIDS BEFORE HEADING TO MELBOURNE

The Newcastle Northstars have finished the Australian Ice Hockey season in second after splitting their double header with the Gold Coast.
They travel to Melbourne on Friday for the finals, starting with a semi against Sydney.
“We’ve knocked them out, won grand finals against them, they’ve won them against us, we know each other really well.”
Before they begin preparations, the Northstars gave something back to the community today.
The team did the rounds at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital, presenting more than 250 toys, donated by fans.
“It’s great, we came in last year to see the kids smiling and getting the toys, you can’t beat that.”
