Nimbin will soon be home to Australia’s first ever Zorb attraction after Lismore City Council gave the project the green light.
The event, which sees competitors race down a hill in a giant ball, was approved eight votes to two at last night’s council meeting.
The majority of councillors said the potential economic benefits to Nimbin outweighed any possible impacts to nearby residents.
However the developer must adhere to strict conditions, which include reducing noise and maintaining roadways.
The event could be up and running as early as April next year.
