Port Macquarie superfish James Magnussen, is in the running for a major Swimming Australia Award.
The man they call the missile is up against the likes of Geoff Huegill and Leisel Jones for the People’s Choice award.
The 20-year-old was a dual gold medallist at the World Championships in Shanghai, and the fastest man in the world this year for the 100-metre freestyle.
Votes for the People’s Choice award can be cast at Swimming Australia’s website.
The winner will be announced at the 2011 Swimmer of the Year Awards in Sydney in early December.
