COLOURFUL COMMUNITY PROJECT

The culmination of many hours of hard work has been unveiled beside the Manning River at Taree.

A ceremony was held at Queen Elizabeth Park this morning to celebrate the achievements of volunteers who worked on a community mental health project to brighten up a section of the riverside park.

Greater Taree mayor Paul Hogan paid tribute to those who put brush to canvas on the colourful community mural which depicts life in the Manning.

The river is a common theme in the 16-metre long artwork, flowing through a range of community scenes.
