Police are investigating the cause of a blaze which damaged a property in Newcastle this morning.
About 2.20am police and fire fighters were called to a property in Chinchen St, Islington.
The fire was extinguished but the property suffered extensive damage.
The cause of the blaze has not yet been officially established but is thought to be suspicious.
