Newcastle police say their hard work is paying off, with crime rates down across the board, according to the latest figures from the Bureau of Crime Statistics.
“These results are on the back of some really good years in terms of downturn in crime and I think it’s important for the community to know that, this isn’t just an aberration, this is actually a really good result,” said Superintendent John Gralton.
