Alstonville’s Clayton Fettell has claimed third place in the Byron Triathlon.
It equals his 2006 placing in his hometown event, but the 23-year-old has improved his time by more than 6 and a half minutes.
Port Macquarie’s Adam Holborow beat Fettell to the finish line by just 49 seconds to take out second place.
The winner was Brisbane’s Bryce McMaster.
Sydney’s Lisa Marangon took out the women’s event in 2:03:29.
