A special milestone was reached today in Newcastle District Cricket for Ian Liddell, who celebrated his 500th match.
Tributes were flowing for the Waratah-Mayfield fourth grade skipper.
He was presented with a special jersey before a guard of honour welcomed him on the field – which he still hasn’t tired of after 36 years.
And at the age of 51 he proved he’s still got some fuel in the tank.
