Syringes, cannabis and 16 mobile phone sim cards were among the items seized, during a Corrective Services operation at Kempsey gaol on the weekend.
More than 200 prison visitors were stopped and searched during the joint operation involving Corrective Services officers and police.
Sniffer dogs were also brought in as part of the blitz which targeted drugs and contraband.
Six people are facing charges over the haul and a total of 15 were denied entry to the correctional centre’s visiting area.
