Friends and family today gathered to farewell much-loved and respected Marine Rescuer, Di Sergeant.
Ms Sergeant became a volunteer back in 1999 and worked her way up to become Newcastle Commander.
“She was pivotal in setting up the Newcastle unit here and without here it simply wouldn’t have existed, so she was wonderful.”
Well, she made the news, who would’ve thought it! It’s not just anyone that makes the news you know! R.I.P Di, you’re going to be missed by a lot of people.
