The Cattai Wetlands has been referred to as one of the hidden gems of the Manning Valley.
Now, Greater Taree City Council wants the community’s help to manage the natural wonder.
It’s forming a ‘Friends of Cattai’ group to provide a hands-on role in preserving and managing the wetlands.
Council purchased the site in 2003 and has been restoring its environment ever since, with the goal of opening up the wetlands to the public.
