A 35-year-old commercial fisherman from Green Point, near Forster, has been caught using crab traps and fishing nets unlawfully.
He was fined a total of $3,000 and convicted of five separate offences which occurred on Wallis Lake and two other local waterways.
The fisherman was charged with unlawfully using a meshing net and crab traps, interfering with set fishing gear and possession of prohibited size fish.
