The future of the Belmont Airport site is again uncertain, with a developer rejecting an aero club’s offer to buy the land.
Mirvac will instead hang onto the site in the hope Lake Macquarie Council will allow a housing development, and cast aside dreams of it ever being an operational airport.

i would have thought another tourist development would increase the need for a airport !
