Newcastle Council says it won’t bid for another Sheffield Shield game until a money wrangle with the local cricket association is sorted.
It comes as the draw for the 2012/13 season is finalised, with the ACT again filling the gap left by Newcastle back in 2009.
Number One Sportsground is currently playing host to the Blues Second 11, who today beat Newcastle by an innings and three runs.
