SCOTT SIGNS WITH KNIGHTS

Super coach Wayne Bennett continues to pillage his former club St George-Illawarra, with the Knights signing Beau Scott to a four-year deal.
Scott, who played Origin for New South Wales and a test for Australia last year, will link with Newcastle in 2013.
The 27-year-old is the fourth Dragon to follow Bennett, with Darius Boyd, Adam Cuthbertson and Alex McKinnon signing last year.
“Beau’s genuine leadership qualities will have a huge influence over the culture we are building not only at the NRL level but throughout the entire club,” Knights CEO Matt Gidley said in a media statement tonight.
“The signing of a player of Beau’s quality, who fits the fabric of Newcastle and thec, will excite many of our members and key stakeholders whilst also having a great impact on the young men entering our club.
“Having players of Beau’s character join our club is also a clear indication the Knights new direction is being embraced by players, coaches and officials in the game.
“Whilst this is a fantastic signing for 2013, our focus remains firmly on our 2012 campaign.”
