Sawtell golfer Emma de Groot is one step closer to embarking on her life-long dream, arriving in the USA to begin her professional career.
The 23-year-old, who was named Australia’s top amateur player in 2011, has been playing for 12 years and says making the pro-scene is her ultimate goal.
It’s an exciting new chapter for De Groot, who was forced to miss the current Australian season and undergo rehab, after a car accident in July.
Her campaign will begin when she tees off in the Florida Classic on March 19.
