No charges will be laid over an alleged incident on Newcastle’s Darby Street early Sunday morning, said to involve an up and coming 21-year-old Knights player.
Officers say two men allegedly became involved in an altercation at 1:50am.
The 21-year-old was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station.
Due to his level of intoxication, he was unable to be interviewed at the time.
The incident is described as “minor”, and the Knights say they’ve conducted their own investigation, and won’t comment further.
