It’s a social media campaign which has helped change the life of an Old Bar family doing it tough.
Team Brendan was set up in support of local cancer survivor and father-of-two Brendan Maloney, who four months ago was forced to have his leg amputated.
“The support from Team Brendan facebook page was just amazing it was lovely to see how it helped both Brendan and Callie to get through that huge first operations, Sister-in-law Sue Pitman said.
Tonight the community will again unite for a benefit for the family, hoping to raise much needed funds.
“A fantastic prosthetic leg so it can get him out on the bike and running again so that’s the aim, she said.
