Paramedics were called to Weston, near Cessnock in the Hunter Valley, late this afternoon where a man was struck by lightning. The incident happened as a late afternoon storm cell moved through the region. The 42-year-old man is reported to be in a stable condition and was taken by ambulance to the John Hunter Hospital.
