Former A-League Golden Boot winner Joel Griffiths has signed a mutual termination agreement with the Jets, formally ending his second stint with the club.
Meanwhile, David Carney is expected to return to training tomorrow morning, after the Jets withdrew a claim that he breached the player’s code of conduct.
Carney and Newcastle officials were due to attend an arbitration hearing at FFA headquarters in Sydney tomorrow.
Despite reports Carney and the club have reached a settlement, he’s told NBN News he’s keen to stay in Newcastle, and return to the pitch with the Jets.
