Mermaid Beach body-boarder Mitch Rawlins is on cloud nine, after taking out the prestigious Shark Island Challenge.
Right from the get-go, Rawlins was the one to watch, and, when it came to the final, the popular 28-year-old put on a barrel riding clinic to snatch first prize.
The Gold Coaster sits in second place on the International Bodyboarding Association rankings – well within reach of a maiden world title.
