The Opposition has ruled out taxing Gold Coast canal residents to pay for its policy to fix the Broadwater.
It’s calling for Main Roads Minister Craig Wallace to be sacked, saying he lied in Parliament yesterday by implying LNP leader Campbell Newman would charge residents.
But Mister Wallace claims he only asserted that point based on Mister Newman’s political history.
