Organisers are keen to bring The Offshore Superboat Championships back to Newcastle in 2013, after this year’s event was hailed as a big success.
Record crowds of up to 40,000 lined the harbour foreshore last weekend for two days of powerboat action.
It was feared the event wouldn’t be held in Newcastle this year after a lack of funding, but was saved by the State Government.
