A 21-year-old man was killed when his motorbike collided with a semi trailer At Stockrington in the Hunter.
Just before midday, the man lost control of his 600cc road bike on a bend on George Booth Drive.
It slid under the rear trailer of the truck, killing him instantly.
The 49-year-old truck driver was interviewed by police, and underwent mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
The road was closed for four hours as police investigated the crash.
