COURT HEARS SHEDDON REFERED TO MURDER VICTIM AS A ‘DOG’

The mother of a man, fatally shot at Raymond Terrace two years ago, today wiped away tears as witnesses gave evidence at the trial of her son’s alleged killer.

Newcastle Supreme Court heard that Joshua Dillon Maynard was hanging out the window of a car, wielding a sword, just before he was gunned down on Links Drive in 2010.

Another witness told the jury that the man charged with Mr Maynard’s murder, Chad Sheddon, referred to the victim as a dog, before pulling out a gun and shooting him.

The trial continues.
