Police say a maintenance worker who fell to his death in the Port of Newcastle was trying to repair a handrail on a ship.
The 50-year-old, from Hamilton, was attempting to move from a ladder to a cherry picker when he lost his footing and fell to the bottom of the ship’s hull.
