WEATHER UPDATE: RAIN EVENT STILL ON TRACK

The cloud band stretching north to the tropics has been broken but the link is set to re-establish itself allowing much of the broadcast region to recieve some much needed rain over the next three days.

Showers and storms will continue to build across the south during Thursday as the cloud cover spreads to the NE.

Overnight Thursday into Friday is going to be the best period for NSW with widespread moderate falls before the system moves across SE QLD on Saturday.

The rain belt will clear to the east making way for a mostly fine weekend.
