Police are investigating an early morning ram raid on a Werris Creek Newsagency.
Just before 3 o’clock, police say a Toyota Landcruiser which had been reported stolen, was slammed into the wall of the business, in a bid to steal an ATM.
A large quantity of cigarettes were taken.
The car was later found alight in Punyara Street.
This morning, police were busy searching cars in South Tamworth for any further clues.
