MANLY TAKE OUT POLICE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Manly has taken out the New South Wales Police Rugby League Championships at Port Macquarie, defeating Cronulla 10-eight.

The Sea Eagles dominated most of the match, and led by eight points at half time.

A try and conversion from Cronulla kept their fight alive, but it wasn’t enough.

Meanwhile, the state police squad was also announced following last night’s final.

Two Country North Cowboys players were named in the team, including Lismore’s Dylan Coleman and Aaron Weatherley.

Cowboys’ trainers Paul Wallace and Peter Nissen also made the cut.

The team will now prepare to take on the maroons in a curtain raiser to the Sydney State of Origin match in June.
