Arriving home to find an intruder in their Cram Street house, a Merewether family went into action. Dad tackled the alleged intruder and wrestled him down while the family phoned the police.
A man was arrested and allegedly found in possession of items stolen during the breakin and also from a nearby house.
The man’s alleged getaway bicycle was found propped against the wall, outside the house.
