Beaches on the Gold Coast remain closed as massive seas continue to pound the coast.
Experienced surfers are reaping the benefits of the conditions, but chief Lifeguard Warren Young warns conditions remain dangerous.
“The swell is starting to drop, but it’s still quite dangerous and people should never over-estimate their ability in these big seas,” he said.
