TOPOR-STANLEY PARTS COMPANY WITH NEWCASTLE JETS

Newcastle defender Nikolai Topor-Stanley is expected to be announced as one of Western Sydney’s high profile signings on Monday, after he and the Jets mutually agreed to terminate his contract today.
The club is confident it has the central defenders to take his place, with Taylor Regan and Connor Chapman expected to take on bigger roles this season.
Topor-Stanley’s departure could also open the door for Newcastle-bred defender, Josh Mitchell.
“He’s training with the team at the moment. Impressive guy, Newcastle local player, so nothing’s been discussed yet but that is a possibility.”
