PARKLAND PLAN GOES TO THE PUBLIC

A controversial plan that could see Lismore council develop a parkland in the CBD is now open for public comment.
If the proposal is given the green light the space between Lismore Square Shopping Centre and Uralba Street will be landscaped into a recreation hub with a coffee shop and amenities.
The development would see the City Lights Tennis Club demolished and three sporting fields cut in half, sparking backlash in the sporting community.
The plan will be on display for 28 days.
