MAN ASSAULTED WHILE SETTING UP MOBILE SPEED CAMERA

A contractor setting up a mobile speed camera site on the Pacific Highway near Tea Gardens, north of Newcastle has been assaulted.
Last night at around 8:30, the 54-year-old man had left his car to place metal warning signs on the road before being punched in the face by a man.
He was punched again by another man who approached him from behind.
The man suffered cuts and swelling to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The only description the man could provide police is the offender had a thin build.
