Tenders are now open for the construction of a $15million upgrade to Coffs Harbour’s South Wall.
Also known as the Eastern Breakwater, it’s the marina’s main defence against weather and storms.
The first six hundred concrete blocks to be used in the revamp are complete, but it’s estimated that 200 tonnes of rock and 2000 more blocks will be needed to complete the restoration.
Further protection of the marina is also under consideration, with plans to stop wave surges over the North Wall.
