The Tacking Point Lighthouse headland in Port Macquarie is one step closer to restoration.
It’s been granted $20,000 in funding through the Federal Government’s “Caring For Our Country” program.
The project will see the ‘Headland Masterplan’ implemented, with retaining walls built to combat erosion, as well as a pathway and new steps leading to the lighthouse.
Planning for the stage two works is currently underway, with construction to begin in the next few months.
