Online video has emerged of three Grey Nurse Sharks being rescued off South Solitary Island in Coffs Harbour last month.
Scuba Divers reported seeing the sharks entangled in rope, which were then rescued by a crew from the Jetty Dive Centre.
Using an implement used for whale disentanglement, the sharks were successfully cut free.
Thanks to the video, the group’s efforts are now receiving praise from International Preservation Groups.
