MULTI-MILLION BOOST FOR KOALA CAPITAL

Yesterday’s state budget also saw a multi-million dollar boost to Australia’s koala capital.
A new education centre dedicated to the furry marsupial is set to create 20 new full-time jobs and attract more than 90-thousand visitors each year.
“This is absolutely a new dawn for the koala capital of the world Gunnedah, with $6.48-million shire council to build a brand new koala park and education centre.”
The new centre will carry on the legacy of Gunnedah’s ‘wildlife warrior’ Nancy Small, who sadly passed away last year.
“This is a tribute to her and her family for setting up where we are today.”
