Proving how highly regarded he is by coach Wayne Bennett, James McManus has gone straight back into the Knights’ starting 13 for the clash with the Cowboys, as he returns from an eye socket injury.
Despite his try-scoring exploits, Kevin Naiqama was named 18th man.
Having retained his spot on the bench, Robbie Rochow is keen to make amends following Newcastle’s loss to Manly.
“At the end of the day we didn’t defend well and I was a part of that, so that’s probably the main focus for the next week.”
Even when the results aren’t going Newcastle’s way, the East Maitland junior is still living his dream.
“I’m loving every minute I get on the field, I know against the Bulldogs it was a similar situation and I enjoyed that game, we were performing well and everything.”
